God's Antidote

Hi Lamb & Champ

The good news is.. the antidote that God has for everyone who needs healing from inner wounds imbedded in their soul.  Rejection is one of the greatest hindrances to divine love.  As I've learnt from ministering to others, a crushed spirit is not able to receive love & make sound choices that are good for them.

The nurture ingredients are often missing from childhood - encouragement, affirmation, protection, cherishing, value & worth, discipline & safety.  So they grow up in one or more of the different defence mechanisms - aggressiveness, sarcasm, rebellion, reject others & easily offended - all these keep people away so that their pain will not surface; it is to protect their pain.

Their souls are unfulfilled.  As a result, some of them try to fulfill their souls in some illicit way - sexually or materially; it just doesnt work!

God has provided an antidote for our rejection & it comes to us through Jesus and the cross.  On the cross, there was a divine exchange.  Some aspects of this exchange are :

-  He took the evil so that we might receive the good
-  He was punished for our sins that we might be forgiven
-  He was wounded for our sickness that we might be healed
-  He was made sin that we might be made righteous.
-  He was made a curse that we might receive blessings

Isaiah 53:3 "He was despised & rejected by men, a man of sorrows, & familiar with suffering.  Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised & we esteemed him not."

Jesus was familiar with our rejection coz he was rejected by his fellowman but the worse was yet to come. Finally, he was rejected by God his Father.  In Matthew 27:46, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? " For the 1st time, His Father did not answer Him.  God turned his eyes & ears away from his son.  Why?  At that moment, Jesus was identified with our sins.  He became the sin offering for us. He lost his status as a son so that we can become the sons/daughters of God.

Picture the absolute darkness, the loneliness & rejection, & abandonment by God. You and I may have gone through a measure of rejection but never in that measure as Jesus went through.  His heart was broken & He gave up his spirit vs 50 "And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, he gave up his spirit."

vs 51 "At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn in 2 from top to bottom.  What does this mean?  It means that from then on, the barrier between God & man was removed.  Now we can come to God without shame, without guilt without fear.  He has provided a way through his son Jesus so that we can have eternal fellowship with God.

Ephesians 1:3-6 "Praise be to the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy & blameless in his sight.  In love, he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure & will - to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves."

The word 'freely given' show us as the object of God's special favour.  Jesus bore your rejection that you might have His acceptance.  That's the solution to rejection.

There is one last part to this final topic & I shall highlight the 4 things that need to be done.  Have to end here, I have to go teach a DISC workshop in a company.  Will write either tonight or tmr morning.

Bye... Love Mum
