Continuing from where I left off regarding the ways that demons actually impact our lives ...
5) Enslave
Demons enslave, it is very close to compulsive behaviour. For eg a person commits a sin in the area of sex. She repents & then goes to Jesus to receive forgiveness. She's justified just as if she has never sinned. After all that, she still has the intense desire of doing the same thing even though she hates it. That person is demonised.
1 common area of demons enslaving a person is in the area of masturbation. Derek Prince said that when the problem is v serious, the person's fingers will begin to tingle, sometimes they go stiff or bend backwards. The demons in the fingers are v stubborn, often those men have to shake it out of their fingers in the name of Jesus. I have dealt with women in this area too, so it is not limited to men.
When you add point 4) 'compel' & 5) 'enslave' together, you will have addiction.
6) Defile
They make you feel dirty & unclean especially when you are worshipping God or when you want to read the Bible. A dirty image or filthy word suddenly appears in your mind & you have no idea where it comes from.
7) Deceive
All forms of spiritual deceptions come from this demon of deception. What opens the door of deception? PRIDE. Pride inevitably leads to deception.
8) Weaken..Make Sick or Tired
There is a demon of tiredness. People affected are always feeling tired or weak. They are too tired to read the bible, too tired/ or feeling weak to sit through a spiritual teaching.
9) Kill
They kill people with sicknesses etc. There is a spirit of death that is sent out.
To sum up all the above, the word to use is 'RESTLESS'. Demonised people are usually restless. A person who can truly relax probably does not need deliverance.
Some folks may think that we, who believe in deliverance, are going too far, it is not true. If one believes in God, then one should believe there is a devil. Any pair of opposite must be real. If heat is real, cold is real. If light is real, darkness is real & so forth.
I hope, children, with this knowledge, you will be better equipped to run the race to help yourself and others. All Christians are given the power to deliver but not many use that authority. On that note, I like to mention that some of us are called specially into this ministry with the gift of discernment of spirits given to them. If you have received this gift, do not become a specialist otherwise you will be consumed with this ministry & become proud because you will finally think that you have that power to drive demons out instead of God.
