How To Recognise the CAUSES of a curse 2

Hi children

The women had a wonderful & powerful EW. There were close to 120 ladies so 1 leader had to minister to 5! Today, I'm staying at home coz I'm mentally tired.  Ministering is tiring & draining coz they have so much wounds & hurts & generational curses on their lives.

Many of those that I ministered suffered from very deep emotional wounds inflicted by their grandfather, father or uncles, people they should trust but couldnt. Some of these ladies were made to perform sexual perverse acts on these men when they were v young, some as young as 6 years old!  When I was teaching on the causes of a curse, one of which is sexual immorality, I felt in my spirit that I should pay more attention to this area & then I realise why later.

This is really a generation curse of sexual immorality that has come upon these families and these acts have undoubtedly left many emotional scars.  In some ways, it has affected their sexual intimacy with their spouse & that is so sad.  BUT... God is good, He has done a healing work in most of them, & there is one whom I shall be helping out tomorrow who is still recovering but not completely.  Everytime we tell her to confess forgiveness to someone, her face would convulse before she lapsed into unconsciousness.

To continue from my previous blog, the 3rd cause for a curse is :

(3)  Sexual Immorality
Taken from 2 Samuel 12:7-12 (pls read it yourself), King David committed adultery with Bathsheba & murdered her husband to cover himself.  The consequences of his sexual sin was that his son Absalom slept with his wives in broad daylight.  One of his sons raped one of his daughters.

Fornication & Adultery create evil & unhealthy soul ties which prevent you from having a wholesome relationship with your spouse.  Other sexual sins include pornography, masturbation, lesbanism & homosexuality.  In the latter, the spirit of homosexuality can be imparted to others through unholy sexual acts or by being very close to them.

A person who is sexually molested or raped can have spirits of guilt, fear, anger & lusts residing in his/her life.  The victim has to deal with it at the cross.

I like to make it clear that sex is not dirty, in fact, sex was designed by God Himself for marriage, for enjoyment & procreation. Satan cannot create, he can only distort sex & put people in bondage.  No one has to live in bondage to sexual immorality.  No one has to be controlled by pornography.  No one has to have evil lustful thoughts controlling their minds.  There is a way out.  Isaiah 55:7 says "God abundantly pardons" when you repent & ask for forgiveness.   1Corin 6:18 further says " Flee from sexual immorality." God didnt say stand & face it. He said run! Far away from temptation!

4)  Dishonouring Our Parents
Countless people today are unaware that disrespect for parents bring God's curse upon their lives.  Christians can be active in church; non believers do good works, yet there is something that is lacking in that person's life - the favour & blessings of God.

Honouring parents include your in-laws.  Outward actions do not count.  Deal with your heart.

5)  Words Spoken By Authority
"The tongue has the power of life & death.." as recorded in Proverbs 18:21.

Words have power especially when it is spoken by those in authority.  Employers have authority over their employees, church leaders over their members, teachers over their students & parents over their children.

Husbands have authority over their wives.  In Gen 31:32 shows that Jacob's words have tremendous authority & power.  Jacob's father in law accused him of stealing his household gods but unknown to Jacob, it was Rachel, his wife, who had taken them. So in defence, Jacob said, "But if you find anyone who has your gods, he shall not live."  Shortly after Rachael had given birth to their son, she died.  Even when you are absolutely certain about a matter, avoid rash statements esp when it puts someone close to you in serious jeopardy.

Parents do not realise that their words are prophetic & they use expressions that have a negative effect on their children.  Children receive these words into their hearts.  Words carelessly spoken by a person of authority can shatter a child's future eg intellectual capacity, professional work, love life & finances.

If anyone is a victim of his parents' words like "I wish you were dead!", he should immediately break that curse in the name of Jesus.  Such a declaration opens the door for the demons to place a curse on him.  Likewise, if you have cursed someone, repent before God & break those words in Jesus name.

An inner vow is formed when we react angrily to an event & purpose in our heart.  Some egs of vows are 'I will not be like my mother', or 'I will never act like that' or 'I wont share my feelings again.'  An inner vow refuses change.  A person may grow up in other areas but not in that area.  In the area of the inner vow, the person remains childish & reactive.  An inner vow inhibits the freedom of our spirit to interact with the holy spirit. So inner vow has to be broken in Jesus name.

6)  Abuse of Authority
The next form of conduct is oppression & injustice towards the weak & helpless.  I cant think of any greater abuse of authority than abortion.  Curse can come when we kill an unborn infant deliberately. Often I've seen mothers passed on the curse of barrenness onto their daughters.  Others include abuse of employees or maids.

A few months back, there were 2 young teenage girls talking about abortion on a public bus.  1 of them was distressed to learn that she was pregnant.  Her friend nonchalantly told her that she could go for an abortion.  She had done that before & it was not a problem. Huh?  What has the world come to? In my mind, I was thinking that some boys out there did not know they became fathers when they made someone pregnant unknowingly!

SOLUTION to breaking curses & receiving blessings come through a divine exchange on the cross.

Galatians 3:13-14  Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us for it is written - cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.  He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the gentiles (tt's us who are non Jew) through Christ Jesus so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Jesus became a curse for us so that we can receive the blessings.  That's the divine exchange.  This has to be done in faith.  1John 3:8  "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work."

It is useless to struggle on our own.  If you make no confession, you are left at the mercy of your circumstances.

I thank God our family is saved by grace.
